I think seeing Hotel Rwanda last night was an appropriate Valentine's Day date with my daughter. Hard to watch, but necessary, in the movie a man transforms from believing he must look out for only his family to extending that safeguard to more than 1200 people who made their way to his hotel. Suddenly, all were family. If you read interviews with Paul Rusesabagina will down play his role as hero. As if we all would do what he chose to do under fire. I wish it were so.
