Bagdhad is in flames half a world away. Precious documents recording the history of the cradle of civilization are lost forever. The armed forces of my country appear more interested in protecting oil wells than priceless documents. Than protecting citizen's lives. My tax money is paying for this.

Here at home, I learned today that I am one of 838 Indiana educators who are losing a job this spring. Lack of revenue is responsible for this. One reason I am losing my job is because my school corporation is cutting Reading Recovery and gifted/talented programming. The veteran teachers in those positions will move into slots vacated by the laid-off teachers. Tell me again what the education president is doing for the children of this nation?
