News article: Man shoots 14 year old son as he runs by with his high school cross country team. The man, distraught over his estrangement from his wife, feels it is better for the son to die than live without a father. Later, he shoots himself.
How can a man do something so evil?
Magazine article: A man, fallen on hard times, cannot pay his fuel bill. Winter is coming. The oil truck driver pulls into his driveway to tell him he cannot fill the tank until the bill is paid. Then he takes the man outside to the fuel oil tank, explains that he filled the tank but he cannot turn it on until the bill is paid. He quietly gives the man the directions for turning on the tank, explaining that he's accidentally leaving the lock open. He leaves saying there is enough fuel for the winter.
