Here's the week in a nutshell. Mornings, I meet with my five awesome peace and justice comrades for worship and a meeting where we mull and discuss for a couple of hours. Lots of talk about budgets, programming and administrative details. Lunch, then more visioning/planning/detail meetings. Like all week. In between we wedge in some correspondence and small tasks on our own. In the evenings, the Indiana contingent (Matt, Bob, and I) find dinner and the last two nights, watch the Olympics. Last night Bob and I went out to this huge China Buffet because Barb told us there was a sushi bar. The sushi was a yes. The rest, well, we tolerated--it was, um, chinese buffet food. Warm, unimaginative and, well, kind of generic. (Note to self: no more buffets. Why do you punish yourself in this way?)

"When you begin to touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you begin to discover that it's bottomless, that it doesn't have any resolution, that this heart is huge, vast, and limitless. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space."
