Bluegrass, anyone?

Kay and I went to Toast and Jam in Fort Wayne last night to see Tracy Grammer, folk singer. She was to play first, followed by special guests, The Mammals. So Tracy came onstage and played beautiful songs penned by her former partner, Dave Carter. Very sweet. I loved it.

Then came the special guests. Not knowing who these Mammals were, I waited and smiled at the quintet as they appeared. And OhMyGod, they rocked the house. Headed by Pete Seeger's grandson, Tao Rodriguez-Seeger, they jammed on bluegrass and sunshine, politics and Dylanesque tunes. They brought the house down. It was like, how had I never heard of this band? How could I miss something this good? You like "Oh Brother, Where art Thou?" You gotta check them out.
