Years ago, Senator Paul Wellstone was the keynote speaker at an interfaith conference I was attending on welfare reform. He was an advocate for the poor, the oppressed, peace, people with mental illness, and the working people. I absorbed every last word he said that day. Yesterday we lost him. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends, and all of us,actually, at his passing. This is a great loss. I hope those of us who care deeply for these things will pick up where he left off. Now I'm off to a peace rally.
