As I scanned the headlines today, I wanted to ask my conservative brothers and sisters (none of whom read this blog, I'm pretty sure), really, are things better than they were four years ago? Can you see how much worse they are?

Yesterday, someone quoted a source I didn't catch: "Well, if the powers that be remain in Washington after Tuesday, at least we'll be sure the empire will topple." Our empire, that is.

Another spoke of something they heard Tony Campolo say--the Christian right should never have gotten involved in politics. I must read more from this evangelistic left-friendly man.

And now, on hope:
