We've slept in for two days in a row. Imagine that. I thought I'd never see it. Three days before Christmas and all is slowing down. There's still much shopping to do, but this I can smile about. In a box in my basement family room are love tokens from my students, mostly lotions and candles of the "warm vanilla sugar" variety. And I gave them gel pens and notepads, peanut butter cups and crunchy chocolate bells. We finished reading A Wrinkle in Time together, Madeleine's story of love and redemption, just in time for Christ's birthday. It was fitting.
