"The February sunshine steeps your boughs
And tints the buds and swells the leaves within."
~William Cullen Bryant
Yet another snow day (#5). The street in front of my house is a polished mirror. Bead workshop in the jail cancelled. Meanwhile, one child makes chocolate chip scones (she has excellent taste) and the other plays with castles and knights. Keith called. I asked him how morale was over there on death row in Ohio--there was an execution a few weeks ago and one last night. He said that there's been a change. That some are worried now, having to confront the possibility that it really might happen to them. More phone calls to lawyers lately. Then we talked about everyday things, guitars for him and kids for me. Finally the sixty second countdown and hurried last minute comments. I love that guy.
