Yesterday, it was hemp bracelets and inner wisdom. The girls were happy to be back together after missing a week for the Thanksgiving holiday. I told them weaving with hemp would take some patience so they might need to take deep breaths when they were frustrated, which they must have, because it went pretty smoothly. One of the girls who really needs friends sat at a new table and got along swimmingly with the other three. The topic of the day was, "Think of a time when you had a gut feeling about something, and it turned out later that you were right." Right away, one of my favorite girls in the world, a past student, piped in, "When my mom was getting married and I knew it was wrong out because he was beating her up. They got a divorce."
