Poet.
My friend Sheila sent me a Rilke poem. Beautiful, it was, and now it sits on my desk. (Click on over to Sheila's blog under Folks of Note if you would like an awesome read.)
I turned to my very own book of Rilke and found the exact same poem. And reading on, I found another with these lines:
"Break off my arms, I'll take hold of you
with my heart as with a hand..."
"Ah," I said and wagged a finger at my Sixpence cd. Matt Slocum, you are a Rilke man.
