Celebrate with me!
My friend and death row pen pal, Keith (see link under folks of note), called and told me he has been moved from his cell to the new death row honor block at ManCI. What this means is that he is seen as an exemplary prisoner and it bodes well for him when his case goes through appeals. On a more practical note, it means he can leave his cell unshackled and have freedom of movement in the recreation room. He is allowed outside four days a week now, rather than 2 days out of every eight. It has lifted his spirits and mine. A little liberty, a lot of sunlight, a man who has been rewarded for trying hard.
